2014 Anglesey Cruise

Looks beautiful. Gutted to miss another trip. Currently trying to work out the 2014 Anglesey one. Chris Ty Calch wants small tides to store boats on the beach, that leads to a mid day low tide though, which doesn't lend itself to stopping for lunch in at morfa nefyn or Conwy etc Hmmmm 24th May looking the likliest suspect at the moment.

Unless we did a trip out then a late afternoon stop.

Options:
Bardsey then Morfa
Wind farm then Conwy
Round Anglesey then Gazelle

Hi HP, can't you just look at neap tides, be easy enough getting over Caernarfon Bar then, not sure you want to be looking at big tides if you're thinking of Bardesy mate, been down there and there is some real big water even on a nice day, good fun though

I fancy this one! Lets get my diary booked up with the 2014 cruises, then I can miss work - better than my 2013 season where work seemed to win!

Terwats the lot of you. especially that German!
Currently on scouse train home after work night out. Forgive my typing!

Can't do 10th as week after I'm away. That would be ideal but family says no! Will start cruise thread this week. Chris wants 24th, will pick the destination/route too. But feel something new is order, though a strait run is always desired within it as it's such a good run for newbies.

I know I prolly don't really get a vote (being a n00b an' all) but one of the things I really liked about the Anglesey run last year was how early it was. Twas a good start to the season. Late May seems a bit... well, late.

To be fair it is normally gel early on. I just thought we could delay it a little for us fair weather boaters. Though I guess for travelling boats the spring bank holiday would be a ballache.

Hi Guys, Only weekends in April and May that is awkward for us, are the 26/27th April and the 17/18th May. Simply because on those weekends its Spring tides, and the High water time means we would not be able to use the foreshore as a setting down area for arriving boats (and leaving trailers once launched). The car park as most of you know is fairly small (50cars) so with the prospect of 20 or so Large RiBs and tow vehicles arriving all for a 10am launch not to mention any other craft, it would simply be chaos. Chris
