There's a few ribs going out on the 25th May most from Southampton water.

The plan is to launch around 10am, set off around 10:30

I'll be launching from Calshot

Right chaps,

What's the form with Priory Bay?
Sandy beach?
Put boat on sand? Moorings nearby?

I've not been there before and Mrs Searider has suggested we need to try some new destinations.
Would be a Scorpion load of kids.

It's sand depending on which way the tide is going you can take it into the shore to drop off passengers and anchor

Sounds good. I may just ask my better half to get the picnic basket ready.

Priory bay is located between Seagrove Bay and St Helens Bay on the East side of the Isle of wight. It is a sandy beach

Hopefully there will be some mooring buoys but if not we'll anchor. The tide will be running out so we'll have to take this into consideration.

We'll use one of the smaller ribs to get on and off the beach but it's worth wearing something on your feet when wading through the water, as a few internet searches mentions Weever Fish?

Low tide is around 15:30, so if you did beach your rib at 12:00 you might not get if floating again until 8:30pm

I'm seeing Nos tonight who I'm sure has camped on the beach there so I'll find out a bit more about it, unless anyone else is a regular there?

Current weather forecast looks like a F3-4 but sunny, lets hope the high pressure pushes in early

Liking the look of a sandy beach - and if we were able to get a lift to the shore I could leave the boat at anchor.

830pm is probably a bit late for the little people!

It's great beach but got to be careful finding the right way in and out at certain states of tide!

That was what we knew as Priory Bay. I can see my boat in one of the pics, biff had (almost) finished fitting the cabin.
