I've seen something in bournemouth I wouldn't mind getting. How far from where we're staying/launching is it?

from the launch site in the car, about an hour, or diverting from the mmotorway at beginning or end of day, about 45 mins
or from Warsash by sea, somthing like 33 miles
all one way

I agree with Neil's timings: depending on the traffic, you'll need to allow at least two hours for the round trip.
I live in Bournemouth, however, and am hoping to come so if I can help by picking it up (provided it's not illegal or overly pornographic ) and it will fit in my boat, send me a PM and I'll be pleased to help.

You can't beat having a couple of beavers on a cruise.
Oops, think this thread is meant to be locked for only Doggystyle to post finer details of the event

Indeed I could, but I have promised to be in Vestmannaeyjar Westmann Islands) that weekend where we will be having picture/video show from the Iceland - Faroe Island trip which took place last June. See thread http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=30562
Some of our friends from Faroe Island will participate.
Will look at what I can do especially as I am to by myself a Searider 5.4 on this trip.

Thanks Gents, I didn't go for it in the end. Went over what I wanted to pay for it.
I may not be able to make the weekend as my wife may need some looking after. I'll know better nearer the time. Fingers crossed on both counts!

Whats the parking and the slip charges like at Camber Dock? I've looked on boatlaunch but I've found from experience that their details are not always right. Also, is traffic going to be a pig on a Saturday morning getting into Portsmouth.

IIRC its about £12.50 all together. Warsash is free
I rekon youre better off at warsash, if its really lumpy you have southampton water to play in, where as at camber youre linited to a small area of the docks where you wont get shot by MoD police

Well I,ve booked for Saturday night on the camp site when booling asked what you get for your £17 she first said a nice quiet site .We will be leaveing colchester at 7 pm so may drive to calshot as i think we may be able to park up late and get some kip in the camper. What the parking and noise like at warsash slip would that be a better place.I,ve not been there before

warsash is a nice easy long slip it's a little bit tidal but you are usually ok its very quiet place and as I recall it's free parking....but that may have changed.
Calshot is about 25 miles out of your way by road and is three sea miles from Warsash
