Thanks for the info Rogue Wave, from what you say it might be better for me from there with my small boat. Will I be able to launch from Warsash with the car or does it need a 4x4 of which I aint got. Cheers.

You disconnect the trailer from the car and push it out to launch there, so as long as you can push the trailer you're ok.

Warsash slip is actually better when the tide is out IMHO, you can use it as a normal slip instead of pushing the trailer out by hand and pulling in with a rope.

Have you thought of Haslar Slip, it's only about 8 miles away from Warsash several other members are using it I believe.

Thanks Andy, I only have a small RIB (not an SR unfortunately) so it all depends on the sea state as to whether I launch or not. I think Warsash was mantioned so that if it is choppy I can run inland where it will be a bit calmer. But hey, If I dont get out at least I'm looking forward to the weekend, supporting the SR gathering, looking at all the wonderful SR's, and meeting everyone. It will be great either way. Cheers.

if i can offer any assistance to any starngers to this lovely warm part of the country then please don't hesitate to ask my 4* 4 will be here and if anybody wants to launch at Crosshouse then I can look after 2 the trailers at my house.

i can also take you and Chewy to the Yorkshire Consulate to get your Visa's stamped and your lightweight flat caps issued.

I had a geordie 'ex', whose father was from the sticks and had a stammer.

I realised then that Russian probably wasn't that hard to learn...

I once went out with a true Glaswegian. She wasn't too hard to understand and her dad was ok too. But her mum was the daughter of a docker on the Cylde. Spoke to me like she could smash coal between her teeth!

I think I might try Warsash if theres a 4x4 to hand, of course there would be renumeration for the honour. I'd usually just sit in the boat and let the wife push the trailer but she's not coming.
