Just heard that Chewy cant make it so it looks like I'm the only one from oop norff coming unless JSP gets his butt into gear, grabs his nuts and make a run for the door. Hope I'm still going to be welcome even though I dont have an SR. One day maybe? My tiny Zodiac is up for sale after this weekend and I'm on the lookout for a good used RIB so the SR's might just be the inspiration I need. Looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing some propper RIB's.

I'm just back from the boat to make sure it has petrol , starts OK , isn't full of water etc.....
I'll be leaving Christchurch ( about 17 miles to the West of Cowes ) at 10.30 so may be arriving at Cowes ( ish) area around 11.15 . Can someone text me or broadcast on ch77 ( I assume to be used ?) to tell me where people are going/are. If a run to the west, or if its ends up as Yarmouth/Cowes I'll be on the lookout for a bunch of orange boats screaming towards me , or away from me if its Ventnor.
Pete
PS( I'm not bringing my Avon - not quite an SR - but dont hold it against me ! )

I'm really looking forward to this weekend!
Haven't got a crew yet, but got a shiney new Viper Prop to try out
11am meet at Haslar might be doable but isn't HT at 4pm? 5hrs before HT might be a little too early to launch for me, so might well have to catch you guys up.

I should get to the campsite for around 2000 on Friday (aargh that's tomorrow!), is there a reccommended pub nearby if no-one seems to be around, or is it best to pick a number from the list and ring to find the mad people ??
I'm hoping to have the chance to get some of the daft questions out of the way on Friday night, including advice on which of the launch sites to go for.
1st daft question - how much fuel would seem sensible to take ? I've only got the original 25l tank, and a spare the same size at the moment, am I going to have to try and scrounge another one from somewhere or does that sound reasonable ?

Ah, should have read the previous posts, someone's mentioned 120 litres but I have quite a few less horses. Time to get the calculator out...

Guess it depends on where poeple end up , Cowes or Yarmouth & its easy to fill up ( if not the cheapest !)

Unfortunately due to lack of crew and also up-coming redundancy, it's probably best if I don't bring the boat (it's not a Searider anyway ).
I hope you all have a fantastic time, and look forward to hearing all about it next week. Will be driving past over the weekend so will keep an eye out for a mad flock of seariders and assorted honouraries

Maybe a tent
