Ah it's this thread ! Um - I guess if I haven't broken the beast or scared myself too much by October I could give this cruising thing a go. Is it likely to involve ridiciulous amounts of fuel ? I haven't done enough to have started the maths for all that yet.

A weekend with a load of old Northern men is a little worrying, but I'm sure it will be worth it ! I'll have a look at some of the links and try to find a tent or something.

Oops sorry didn't mean to be ageist - I'm 28 after all so not exactly a spring chicken ! It must be the way you sound so experienced and authoritative that I foolishly interpreted as a sign of maturity.

Is that better, or am I still in trouble / owing people pints ?!
