Just about Peter!

came in at around 4 then had to wait until about 6 for the tide to come in!

Thanks for organising David!

After running a little late we arrived at the slip about 10:15 ish and then just as we were about to launch about 50 or more little sail boats swamped the slipway, one capsized at the back of Ian M's boat with 2 in the water having a domestic All I could see was kids and sails but Ian M soon took charge of the slip and watched me back through the rabble

We then headed out to Alum Bay and the Needles before turning back to get some nachos. We had a great day, great company as always and Mrs W enjoyed it too.

Thanks to David for organising the cruise and also thanks to Peter for hanging back and helping us to recover in the shallow water

Great day out - but time to check the fuel pick up tube for a intermittent blockage as it's not the vent! Priming bulb shrivelled up like a raison a couple of times resulting in a few stalls.
Big thanks to David and Simon for letting a littleun tag along and hope you caught the tide back at Parkstone.

John

It was fun organising it and thanks to all for the thanks! I'll send a 'Thank You' tomorrow to The Wheatsheaf for their friendliness and help.

Astonishingly, 21 made it within a few of the minutes either side of the RV at Yarmouth. Mark 241 was short by one, I think, and I'm not sure what happened to the Wootton Creek posse: sorry to have missed seeing them again. It meant that we were three short but 250kts sends apologies for non-appearance and best wishes to all - family commitments etc.

Without Scurvy Crew, I have no pictures or video to post (camera once again left on the boat for lunch!) I thought we had more time to socialise (given that our return entry to the marina between 2.50 pm and 4.40 pm was impossible) but a rapid downing of beer and exit thought otherwise....

With an astonishing burst of speed (with which Longjohn just about kept up with - well OK he caught us up by breaking the speed limit in Poole Harbour) we JUST made it into the marina fully trimmed and VERY slowly. All good.

Good to see you all and we're looking forward to the next one.....

Best David

PS Is anyone organising the Xmas bash for February?

John,

We just made it back in with .5 metre. Sorry to dash off but didn't want to miss the tide.

Good luck with the fuel issue glad you made it back OK.

What a great day Superb boating and company, maybe even too calm out on the water! Not really able to put too many words together that make sense, as for reasons I will not go into I have been awake since 1.30 this morning. Not the best start to a day on the water
I am hoping that I might have one or two seconds of useable video, which I will post, but not today
Like most seems that we just caught the tide, I had less than 3 inches of water under the stern as I recovered onto the trailer.
Thanks for organising the outing David, seems you have the ear of the weather Gods. Really good to see so many made it to Yarmouth. Lets hope all outings of 2012 are as good
