Félicitations to Philippe, Florence and family from S.Brittany on the purchase of your new Solent 6.5.

Caught up with Philippe & new boat briefly in Pompey pre-ferry departure.

A great choice

She's back safely in France awaiting final touches (rear seat & engine fit).

Look forward to the Breton cruises next year!

Kathleen & Paul

Given the lack of any sort of RIB seen in the Solent today I could probably win this in my little itsy bitsy 5m+ RIB just by launching.

Sorry, have been working. My aim, Mr Riva, is an objective not subjective review of what is on offer at the 6.5M size.

I would be keen to participate in such a challenge. Claims have been made by various manufacturers that are hard to verify outside such a side by side comparison by expereinced professionals. Clearly Ballistic and Solent are but two out of a possible range on contenders. There are issues of comfort in the rough, seagoing ability in the rough and raw speed in a gentle swell - and probably others. Marking a range of hulls on such criteria would provide the prospecive purchaser with a "What RIB?" type comparison.

I would be very happy to have you add criteria which you consider important and to suggest dates in perhaps March when and other manufactureres would take up the challenge.

Cheers

Bruce

I reckon March will be crappy. April might be a better month.
