Wow lots of people going. At this rate we will fill Yarmouth harbour up, and then buy up their whole stock of unleaded on the way out.

That is if there is any (fuel) in the first place and the pump/system is working. Last two times I have been there NADA!! Luckily I had enough to get back anyway but I do like to fill up with the cheap(er) stuff when I can.

Looks like it could be quite a gathering!

I've compiled a list of those who have indicated that they will be coming on the basis of the information immediately available. As you will see there is quite a bit currently missing but if you can get it to me (by PM or via this thread), I'll include it in an updated list in due course along with any others who want to join us.

Tigga will be departing and returning Calshot. With that number of boats / people it's going to be a great trip. I'm looking forward to those Chilli Beef Nachos already

Hi David, hope the eye is good now.
Yes, I will be tackling the mammoth trek from Lymington in Jianna, but will probably be solo.

Avocet, how many boats have we had previous years? Seems to be lots signing up for this one, is it looking like a record turnout?

Last year, the final total of boats indicated as coming was 26 which was a record at the time. I didn't count how many eventually turned up (although it wasn't far off the full number) but, as always with these things, the full total is never achieved (illness, breakdown - as you know! -, slipped timing, weather etc.). With over a month still to go and a few usual suspects not yet listed, we are already not far short of last year so it could well be a new record.

I attach an updated list in which I have included the full RV details in its heading for ease of reference. I have also included totals for the number of boats and persons on board. For the latter, I have assumed one for each boat in the absence of any indication otherwise. Please let me know if this is wrong and of any amendments or additions needed and I will include them in the next version in due course.

I suggest that final numbers for alerting the pub and harbour master should be with me by 18 December.

David

Breakdown, yes I know all about that David. Last years beef chilli nachos was the most expensive meal I have ever had at £6000 for a new outboard after blowing the old one up on the way over. It was still a good day and I managed to thumb a lift out to Yarmouth and back again from fellow ribbers so the broken engine didn't spoil the days fun.

Also the wheat sheaf provide a live Solent weather feed which is handy.

Also, would safely say they do one of the best pints of Guinness in the region (this claim backed up by 16 months extensive market research!)
