Sorry everyone, going to have to give this a miss. Fog was patchy & very bad in places, only made it half way down Southampton water & came to the decision that not being able to see anything was no fun!
Next time....

Great day thanks David for organising despite engine problems. Had a good steady run back to Poole with Pete, getting there about 330.
See you all next time:-)

Cracking day out - great turn out too. We left Poole optimistic that the fog was retreating, about 3 or 4 miles from the western Solent entrance it got pretty soupy then cleared as we passed the Castle. Chatted to some people I'd not met before and caught up with some known members, I got the impression we were the luckier ones as the fog sounded worse in the Solent area, at least in places. A nice run back to Poole via the needles, checking out the cliffs then across to Bar Bouy 1 and into the Harbour.

Really sorry to miss you all. Fog was bad Eastern end of the Solent. We eventually (and slowly) made it as far as Cowes, but got no further. We were looking forward to meeting you all. Hope to join you on another trip and a bit of a 'hoon' soon.
Jim

Great day out, very hairy trip across to Yarmouth from Southampton. Run back was dead flat calm and much better visibility. Thanks to the 3 that joined us off Calshot, your company was very welcome. Well done to Pegasus, great to see a bayliner bowrider giving us ribs a run for our money!

Thoroughly enjoyable but challenging day, and a run I've been wanting to do for a few years.
Thanks to Avocet for organising - great to catch up with you and Mrs A in the Wheatsheaf. Thanks also to to Jameszapcat, cousins2uk, oceandevil and the Virginian for their company out from Southampton Water in the foggiest conditions I've ever ventured out in - wouldn't have done it solo!
Also good to catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones over the day. A great day out.

Some photos from The Nacho Run
We left Southampton Dry Stack 4POB at 10.30 on Mojo (Ballistic 650) also with Mark on Ocean Devil, was extremely foggy with max 1/4-1/2NM viability, but after a good trip to Calshot to meet the other boats the trip was slow, steady and safe all the way to the needles and then into Yarmouth.

Was one of the three that stumbled across you in a rather murky Solent and likewise was glad of the company in especially in those conditions!

What a great day. Good to meet up with friends old and new.
I have to say a great big thank you to Mike Watershed for allowing me to crew in Red Arrow. He was even mis-guided enough to let me helm from well west of the Needles back into Lymington. What a beautiful machine.
Now, what did I do with those lottery tickets

Thanks for your company was rather surreal finding you in the fog with the others from calshot. Had and amazing time! Wondered if you had any photos or the lad you were with?
