To be honest, and I have no vested interest (apart from you having a good time), I'd book the Georgian. Get a minibus from the campsite from A1 Taxis, 824182 (book it, speak to Mark), cheap as chips and you're in town with all the other pubs.

Happy to go with anywhere that serves good food and can accommodate around 20 of us .

Can I be put down as maybe in my rib. Working out the logistics and will know for certain in a week or so.
Is it allowed for a hard boat (princess v52) to join the cruise as i would then have accommodation sorted.

Andy.
Hope you can join us. I've been reading your previous thread on your journey to Cherbourg last year.
I'm running a similar set up to you and will be interested in your thoughts/concerns about the weather etc..
James

Good idea on The Georgian Dicky - good food, good beer and nice beer garden. Doubt I will make it up but if I do it will be good to catch up with you.

Hello All - I've cancelled our reservation at the Harbour Lights and reserved at The Georgian Welcome to The Georgian House | The Georgian House - at the moment I have reserved for 20 but advised them that number could increase so in a few weeks I'll have a roll call again to confirm numbers.

Hi James,
More than happy to give you any insight I can. I would be looking for a good weather window of 3 days and would think about not going in anything over a force forecast 4-5 this time. I think you also have a ribeye. The boats can take a lot more than a 4 but I got soaked to the bone in the weather we came back in which was gusting 7.
Let me know if you have anything specific you wanted to ask.
Andy

Hi Andre - not sure as yet - I guess it depends on Tim's planned departure times (and where we are intending to muster).
Smaller petrol boats may want to pick a time to rendezvous at Yarmouth if we are going that way so they can top up on fuel if required.
I'll confirm at ETD nearer the time.
Trev

Time of departure will have to see what the wind is doing nearer the day.
Small boats to meet in Yarmouth to top up ,then main Departure Point the Fairway Buoy
Channel 08 for Communication suggest you do a radio check before departure.
Cheers
Tim
