We've just got back from a great long weekend - After the UK contingent left on Sunday morning we had a fantastic lunch in France, another lovely evening in Alderney, and on Monday went to Sark (via the 80p per litre fuel stop in Guernsey) and camped with Gotchiguy in a very quiet (but windy) campsite overlooking our boats on Sark before running back today on our own.
The return cross channel run was OK, but a bit lumpy for the last 10 miles or so and as we came round St Catherine's on the IOW so we stopped off at Ventnor for afternoon tea to give ourselves a break.
Thanks all for such a good time - especially to Tim for organising it from the UK side and Martin and Keith for the Alderney hospitality and the guided tours of the Island - both by water and land!

Glad to hear that you got back safe and well. We would have texted to check you were home but the signal issues we had on sark have transferred over here somehow, so we haven't been able to. Were just off to jerseythis morning, going to try to meet up with Keith for lunch then back home this afternoon. Tonight I myself and gotchidad will do a proper write up of the trip and put everyones photos on photobucket. I think I managed to get an individual shot of nearly every boat on the move, since I know that everone loves to see themselves boarding through the waves!!
