We will definitely be going up for the weekend, though the actual days of travel may vary. If we don't go before friday, then it would be good to cruise in company with you.

Wining and dining
Erin and Martini we on-island last night so we had a bit of a natter about ideas for the weekend, what do you think?...
Friday afternoon, ask if the Sailing Club will open the bar like last year. It is the perfect spot for everyone to meet up as it is so easy to spot.
Friday night, al fresco at the Braye Chippy. Bring a bottle.
Saturday, train ride out to the lighthouse then a fairly short walk into town for lunch (stopping off at a couple of German bunkers?).
If you fancy getting back in your boats there is always the option of a run round the island to see the wildlife and special tides in action.
Saturday night, BBQ. Poss at one of the bigger pubs in Braye, will talk to them today.

Sark trip extension?
There is talk among the CI RIB.netters of a trip to Sark and camping over night.
If we did this mid-week either immediately before or after the Floptilla, would anyone be tempted to extend their stay to include this?

If the weather forecast is good (or at least not bad) we could well be tempted....we'd prefer it though if one or more boats would be also staying so we could co-ordinate the return crossing to make it in company rather than solo. - and we could only do it the week after the cruise as the schools don't finish here until the Friday of the cruise.

Yes, quite possibly, but it would have to be after rather than before.

An early predecessor to C4 explosive, very popular here in the Channel Islands a few decades ago. Also known as "bunker butter".
