Maybe tides but looking windy for a crossing Saturday?? - you want near perfect conditions, a nice big high and then time prior to the crossing for the sea state to settle What you planning to go in?

Its a lovely little island, the swinge north of the island can get lumpy and don't forget the infamous overfalls round the back
