Alderney day trip on the 30th or 31st August

We are planning to run over to Alderney for lunch and back in Black Gold on either the 30th or 31st depending on the weather. We have always been really lucky with the weather in the past. It would be great to travel in company if anyone is interested. We plan to leave the Hamble quite early and top up with fuel in Yarmouth. Is anyone interested? Gavin

Nice one, I shall keep an eye on this thread and hope to see you next weekend.

If anyone fancies making a long weekend of it, what with it being a bank holiday and all, there is a small hostel that could be used for cheap accommodation. There is also the camp site and the hotel where many of the July RIB.netters stayed was very popular too.

Depends on the weather of course, but happy to run at 30 knots if that works for you. It would be good to have the company of another boat. Gavin

I am supposed to be going to Cornwall for a few days but looking at the weather Saturday seems to be the only nice day so having second thoughts.

Will be in touch if I have a change of plans.

Chris

Forecast

Chris we are on duty for the Cowes orquay on Saturday so given the latest forecast that I've seen, Sunday 30th looks like favourite with SW 3-4. Gavin
