It was looking like Sunday was going to be the better day but just checked and now its the same as Saturday high winds

So it looks like going round the island is off but we could always play on the straits going up towards Puffin.

Eurgh. 7 degrees and 25mph Westerly Winds. Imagine how bad it would have been if I was coming!!

It's doable though, if you can get out over the bar and up the West side of Anglesey with a beam on sea, from the Stacks onwards you'd be with the wind and tide on the N side and sheltered on the East and up the Strait. Happy days.

HT is mid day in Menai, so as long as you set off at 10, you will not have wind over tide so the sea won't be too bad. You will even have slack water NE of Holyhead which will be good for the Mouses!

Gettin out over the bar will be the hardest bit, which is fine as it's at the start.

Just don't go anti clockwise and find yourselves stuck off the bar at end of day with wind over tide and unable to get in!!

Weather looks sunny too.

Yea still possible I have tried telling Mrs T it will be fine but I've been promised with a DIVORCE if it's like the last time
We will decide on the day see how the majority feel, always plenty to see around my Favourite Puffin, Island

LOL, my missus said to me she wouldn't fancy doing the round Anglesey for Macmillan this year 'if it was too rough' so I said to her ok, that's fine, but look at this lady enjoying herself in 'Domino' on the Youtube footage of last year's trip; she's not complaining about it being too rough, she's thoroughly enjoying herself!

I don't think I convinced her though!

With HT near lunch, you could make Conwy quay for fish and chips like on the Macmillan cruise. Sheltered all the way with a Westerly.

That sounds like a good option plus I have never been all the way up to the castle.

You can go past the castle, under the bridge and about a mile and a half upriver up the valley, very nice. Just don't get beached as the tide runs out!! oh and watch your A fram as you go under on a big tide.

ooh i like that - very tidy! i dont have room for something like that so i made two of these which strap together, then secured between front and rear consoles - 40litre each, 90litre main tank.
