Strange fella

As he seemed grumpy but when we left he wished me and my family a safe trip and asked where we were all heading towards

The fella with him in the boatyard was quite courteous when we first landed, showing me the steps and the chain arrangements, plus was very polite when I asked if there were any toilets, he even recommended a good pub on the front.

Perhaps the harbour master was grumpy because we did not beg when we first arrived.

Might be best to drop him a call on the VHF on the way in.

Unfortunately we cannot join this cruise as we are up in bonnie Scotland on holiday

being fair, they've always been ok with us when we've tied up, the fuel berth is only for the commercial boats so as long as you're not blocking that and ask where you can tie up they seem fairly happy, guess they get plenty that just tie up and leave the boats in everyone else's way, must be a nightmare on a busy day

The harbour master said that he was getting some complaints from the day trip boats and just wanted to know how long we was going to be staying I told him that we would be leaving within the hour and he was fine with that and just said to me would we let him know next time if there is a lot of us. To be fair he was an okay chap.

We had something similar whilst up in Scotland last year, we took a trip from skye to Tobermory in mull (by the way would thoroughly recommend if you have not had the chance to do this yet as the scenery and mountains on the way are great)

I had heard this and thought it best to drop a quick message to the harbour master who was very friendly and even offered the visitors pontoon for us so we could go and grab some food and a beer

Perhaps we just over whelmed Conwy, not sure why I wrote beg last night, meant to write call the harbourmaster in my thread.

Either way it was ideal to stop off and grab some warm food

Got the cruise bug now just need to rob a bank to pay for the fuel
