I don't want to throw a spanner in the works guy's just want to cover all our options.....
I have been discussing this with another forum member and we both agreed that there could be a problem camping at the old brickworks due to being quite a few of us signing up for this fishing bash.
Apparently there isn't much room for pitching tents and due to the time of year there is a good chance that other people will be camping on there too.
Also it is private land and if the owners get to know about this they could have someone waiting to kick us off i.e. (being posted on this forum)
Also with so many boats at anchor there is a good chance of getting tangled up so I think that we need a back up plan.......
Any ideas anyone ???

Make yourself some bow tents..
I really fancied this trip, a little shake down in company before I go out in August with the family (as they will flap at the smallest of glitches or strange sounds) but work have booked me that weekend - so I cant

Looked to me like there was plenty of room for a few Tents last time we visited
As to some Nosey Prat Chiucking us off ..we'll just send in the Diplomatic wing...Yeah..reckon we can leave THAt to Rocky and my Lads!
Although...Camping on an Island is always fun.....and you can usually get out of any prevailing winds and weather.

Just looking for options Matt which can't be a bad thing, and if other people are on there before us then maybe there will not enough grass space to pitch the tents. Last thing we want to do after a days is get there and for whatever reason find that we can't get on to camp for the night.
Would be nice if we could get a couple of regular ribbers to do a recce for us.
Holyhead grasslands is another option if its still as it was when we camped on it 3 years ago maybe Fester could take a look at that one for us as he has a caravan in Holyhead

Holyhead has the advantage of safe moorings, bogs & showers. (At the risk of infringing rule #5, but I'm not going, so I'm ok)
.....sh1t happens.......

Llanddwyn is not an option unfortunately
Porth Wen is ok but as said not for a crowd
Oh! the nearest campsite to Llanddwyn is just over a mile away
On the north east coast there is a sight that has a beach right next to it. At Lligwy but it dries out quite far and is very shallow so about 1 hour either side of high water max I would say
Years ago I did camp at Abermenai (just opposite Chris's Ty Calch) but haven't seen many lately
Once I camped at Llanddwyn but arrived at Dusk and scarpered before first light
The grassy knoll at Holyhead seems yer best bet!

We could make the brick yard first option I google it the other night & it looks like there's plenty room on there if we can't get on the brick yard for any reason we can always head over to Holyhead breakwater as second option & camp on the grass land there I think they charged us £18 for the moorings last time we camped & you can use the bogs & showers for that price I don't think we'd have any problems on there all we need now is some good weather 🌞😎👍& plenty 🎣

the grassy knoll at holyhead has a banking of hardcore around it now - i dont know if thats to stop people from camping there, or just to stop Caravan Utilising Nomadic TravellerS from parking up. i can take another look though and check it out

Sound like a plan... you can pitch our tents for us all while we catch dinner and make sure my tent door is closed as well....
