I'm going out from Poole to help with safety, will head out to watch the boats going west for the CTC, then head back to help with the race around the bay, some classses are doing 2 laps, then may try to catch some of the Torquay botas heading back.

Maybe if its calm enough & the weather is nice enough . Went a few years ago and the wake of all the race boats was interesting in a bigger rib . Not sure my 4m would deal with very well.
I'd prob tow to Lymington but I'd need to look at the exact course to work out whats best for the wind etc .

I have been to see the start for the last two years, both times very rough, but exciting to watch. Might well go and have a look if it is halfway decent. Probably leave Poole about 09:00 to catch the 10:00 start off Hurst if I do go.

Before the start
Pretty shaky I'm afraid, but it was a bit cut up out there. Met up with Boris a bit later off Southborne to watch the Cowes - Poole - Cowes go round the mark. Had to admire the person on the PWC, they must have been hard as nails!

Skier was Russel Marmon, he had won both the AquaX events on Saturday, before setting off after the P1 boats and completing the full course on Sunday

It was both an encouraging and disappointing weekend - We got to Teignmouth in 4th place overall and first in class but we had gone less than 5 miles after the Exmouth turn for home when we suddenly got he most horrendous vibration which we correctly diagnosed as loss of a blade from the prop on the starboard engine, we managed to get it back on the plane and achieve 30 - 35mph back to Cowes without too much damage (well we kept going) and got second in class and finished our first Cowes race!
The performance of the boat was very encouraging with the level of competition and following our trip around Britain in some fairly awful weather the boat proved to be reliable again, just a shame about the prop!
