Anyone interested in gathering Folkestone/Dover areas?

Hi just wondering if anyone was interested in gathering Folkestone/Dover ish areas? All the other gatherings seem to be Portsmouth or Dorset areas!

There must be a few of us ribbers around the South East?

Hi - not too far from me then!!

I currently launch at Rye, there must be a few of us on the marsh.

How long does it take to get to Herne Bay with trailer? and whats the slip like?

Have you tried Folkestone at all? There is a slip on boatlaunch but not sure where it is..

All our council are interested in is Flying!! lol - certainly not fixing the roads!!

What sort of days do you get to go out?

Mike

Excuse my ignorance, what is j.a.w.s? Are there launching charges and the car parks trailer friendly?

Would be worth a trip out for some play time..

hi, folkestone has a slip but parking is awkward, sandgate is a no goer, it took about 40 min to get to herne bay and the slip looked good will be off there son as clocks change and i get my prop back from being repaired. Fridays and sats are my weekend. There must be ribbers around this area.

Herne Bay and Whitstable Jetski and Watercraft Society (J.A.W.S.)

i did have a jetski,,, but its open to boats and any thing that floats
no charges other than parking and half the carpark has double lenth bays for trailers

Looks like a trip out.. The MCA are replacing the jetty at Rye, and its not open during the week for next 12 weeks (Open Sat/Sun though - Parking bad as the storing gear where trailers are normally dumped!!)

Hope to see you all out soon.. Anyone else from the marsh area on here?

Mike

I may have a solution to parking, which slip is it at folkestone? The one by the Harbour on the inside of the railway line?
