My hangover is a bit better now so here's some pics from the Irish lunatics Association ribraid.
Mr. Micklewright with the rib version of a Challenger tank, and Gavin and myself getting ready to invade Scotland.

The raid on Portpatrick was like a scene from Mad Max. Ribs from 4-11 metres, Zapcats, jetskis, hardboats, an ILB, two Northern Ireland Police ribs and a microlight aircraft, crewed by a motley selection of weird characters in Viking helmets blasted across the Irish sea to be met by some men in skirts playing the bagpipes.
Great event!

Gavin, the photos are amazing! Real eye candy.
Has anyone got any photos of the portpatrick lifeboat and the piper?
I.O.M team are having a trip to Portaferry this weekend for more Feckin' Whiskey! Some people can just not get enough!
Cheers!

sukin diesel thanks for the offer but we were already away. We did come out to meet you though...Red Fox and Concorde. We set off from Port Logan and intercepted your line five miles off Portpatrick. We saw the armada approaching from Ireland and thought we had better get up to speed...but before long we were overtaken by the first runners...wow what a speed they were shifting at! And then their wake was spotted and we were in it...gulp...but then the fear was overtaken by the adrenalin rush of riding the waves thrown up...a five mile roller coaster all the way to Portpatrick...what a blast. You couldn't wipe the smile off for a week! Next year we may get over early morning to come back all the way. Fantastic fun and recommended to anyone who likes a blast. Here is a shot from the shore and the two of our small ribs.
