Barrus Rib Trophy - Sunday 14th August 2005

Hello peeps we (RSrnYC) are organising a Rib event kindly supported by E P Barrus.

Generously supported by: E.P. BARRUS

Sunday 14th August 2005
An Open Event for all Members of the RSrnYC and their friends.

This year’s event seeks to test your RIB driving skills and navigational accuracy. A choice of courses, both within the Solent and around the Isle Of Wight, will culminate in lunch at the Royal Solent Yacht Club in Yarmouth. For this test of regularity, competitors must predict in advance their cruising speed and finishing time for their chosen course. With the exception of magnetic compass, echo sounder and engine instruments, all clocks, watches and navigational instruments must be covered or removed for the duration. The winner will be the RIB completing the course with the minimum error compared to their predicted time.

1st Prize E.P. Barrus RIB Trophy & Barrus £250.00 Clothing Voucher
2nd Prize Barrus £150.00 Clothing Voucher
3rd Prize Barrus £100.00 Clothing Voucher

Please note all RIBs are required to have an engine kill cord and life jackets for all crew members.
Rally Instructions will be sent to all entrants.

I know this is short notice but it would be great if some of you can come along. We do need to have confirmation of numbers by the 8th please.

It has been already kindly supported by Whiteshoes who is coming along again this year, look forward to seeing you there.

Any questions please do pm me.

Many thanks

Martin Curry
