Wouldn't mind a bit of that
Bass seem to be all over the Strait at the Mo.
Best fished 2 hours before and 2 hours after low it seems.
Live sandeel, peelers and various plugs are catching from all reports
Not fished much meself lately though.
Just reports off peeps I have spoken to lately on the Strait
Oh and from the 'Swellie' thread/post.
If yer wanna see the swellies at low water, I can show you through
Know all the rocks , cos I,ve hit em all (some twice just to make sure) any takers?

Never tried (intentional) bass fishing, I've caught a couple by accident when we've been mackeral bashing. I'd be up for a masterclass, weather permitting

Hugh Fearnley Wassisname was bassing the other week, they were trolling hand lines parrallel to a rocky shore just using plugs, seemed to bring 'em in ok. I was going to give it a try next time out from Whitby.

try fishing the sandbank just off the old beaumaris lifeboat slip. It's about 2 miles past beaumaris in line from where the red bouy is. Literally get it before it dries out. If you dry, get out and push, if you beach, who cares, not long before you float again! Catch the tide right as kwacker says, during the hour before the hour before and the hour after the hour after. ie 2 hours either side slack low, use live sand eel, make sure theyre live, and you'll be rocking!
mackerel fishing gets boring. If theyre in season, theyre in, if theyre not, theyre not. No skill or knowledge required.
