Anyonne fancy coming along and showing me the way in? I've never been into Bembridge before. Need to find somewhere for lunch as well.

Talk to Ribald that is his "home ground "
I will be out tomorrow but sticking around Littlehampton only
you should venture out my way sometimes , a trip up the Arun , lunch at the Black Rabbit with nice view of Arundel Castle on route
Perhaps in the spring when the days are longer
Andre

You go in between the red and green sticks and buckets and the it's Ok. I'll come over with you if you want. I had to go in there at night on my coastal skippers course but thatwas a long time ago.!

Thanks Stuart... Anything with red & green marks sounds good to me. Where's the pub? Any good places to moor?

Dunno about the pub, but there is a yacth club that serves pub type food and drink, plus it has a fairly large pontoon.

Andre - it's supposed to be very calm tomorrow - will that tempt you out to Bembridge?
We were considering getting out over your way, but we're lazy on Saturday mornings! (well I am!) How far from Portsmouth to Arundel?
(i Like the charts Paul)

Would have loved to come with you for a blast across. And seen my boat being built you will see Bembridge Outboards on the Left as you come in.
The first map is the yacht club and there is plenty of mooring.
Not a great deal to eat along the front there but theres a couple of cafes.
If its open at lunch time this time of year The Net is very nice a short walk up the road.
The crab and Lobster is a very nice pub but you would not want to walk there.

For "Blue Ice" on a good day I would say about an hour to Littlehampton . But you must keep well away from Selsy Bill. Best to head for Nab Tower then Outter Owers and then Littlehampton, from Nab Tower about 20 Nm
PM me your mobile tel/no and depending on the time and weather who knows . I have to recover by 3 PM
Andre

Ooh! I heard that!
Lets hope the wind does drop off. Richard head up into the Harbour and lunch at the Bembridge Yatch Club, Very Friendly and Superb Burgers. Floating pontoon to berth on.
Ideal to feed all those hungry mouths

Hi Gang,
Much as I would like to come with you all - works calls (and the money to fund the new boat )
I think the club Kevin means is the Brading Haven Yacht Club at the top of the harbour by the old marina (now private moorings so don't try and moor there - you will get growled at by the locals)
Avoid the Visitors Pontoon (unless you want a bl**dy long walk.)
The BH club has a nice pontoon and very welcoming - the "steakwiches" are excellent. Alternatively try The Vine pub (AY will remember this one from a supposed BIOBA cruise - it was too rough from them but some of us made it )
HW is about 1415 on neaps so you should have no probs getting in and out even at LW.
Have a good time and post some piccys.

Thanks Peter
So is the Vine a bit rough, or was that the crossing?

Thanks Paul, my better half had a good laugh at your remark. Unfortunately she has to work tomorrow . It is I who gets to play on a Saturday.
I'll see how things go but must recover the rib by 3 PM and that is the limiting factor. I also have a demo at 10 AM
Mine's a Guinness and make it a pint please. I'll see what I can do.
Andre
Kevin what are you up to tomorrow. Will call you on your mobile
