Boxing day

Mark,

I still hope to go to Cowes on Boxing Day weather permitting.
Will be launching on Christmas Eve ready for an early start on Boxing Day - say 1230 at the Slipway / Village Quay.

A few beers in the Pier View?

How does that fit in?

Still wanting to get out, weather permitting.

Thinking about leaving the boat in the water between christmas and new year if anyone knows of any reasonably priced places to park?

Will have a better idea tomorrow evening if i will be out when Zippy comes back from the engine menders... .

Hamble Yacht Services charge £1 per metre plus VAT per night for RIBs parked next to the lifting bay - its about as cheap as you can get on the Hamble.

In a word.... errr.. Yes.

Took the whole thing apart and couldnt find a thing wrong! when i got them to look at the gear select prolem they he found the gear select rod thingie was bent as a nine bob bit! Engine mounts broken letting the engine move and bend and break stuff.

Parts being ordered tomorrow hopefully but doubt they will be in till the new year. then they at the boat show so may not be back up and running till late January!!!

Thanks for the offer on Zeb. i might just take you up on that if you dont mind. Will see what tomorrow brings.

On the + side. i got a nice new a frame to put on over the holiday!

Hi Mark,

What time do you think you will be at the slipway?
Launched my boat on Christmas Eve but will be passing the slipway - would be good to traven in company - something to look at!

I'm still looking at about 1230 but might be able to make it a bit earlier.

Yellow Scorpion 6.5m "Top Fun"

Regards

12.30 sounds a sensible departure time.

Confirmed with Zippy.

Rendez-vous at Clarence (Pompey) 12.30.

Then possibly Cowes. If a whirlwind comes in we'll cross to Gunwharf and one of us will research the sales

Looks like ...sunny, cold and F4 winds BTW
