Boxing Day Bash to Cowes

I am planning to launch from the public slip in Hamble which is by the the Royal Southern Yacht Club, and go to Cowes for lunch.

Perhaps a beer or two at the Island Sailing Club or wherever then back for a couple in Hamble at the Royal Southern. Weather permitting does that appeal to any of you Solent ribbers?
You'll have to go easy as we have only just bought a 4.8 rib.
