We have a new bridge under construction too - it was just a set of piles last year ( but fun with a flow of water behind you and a narrow channel ) but is getting there now.

If I get a chance I will try and eyeball it to see what a passage might be like before the day. Even if it's a blocker the trip even up that far is well worth it.

So - took a reccie to have a look at how our new bridge is progressing. There is a Nav Channel through it but at anything approaching high tide it's looking tight. Pictures below are about .5m off high tide and the gap is about 2m high from the water. I'd say it's a call on the day when we get there.

That said - up to that point you get most of the highlights of the tour, up through the port, past the entry to the Grand Canal, and up into the city centre.

well, could take a while if the BSG have to get the kit on, then Rocky will need a lift onto his rib with his bad back, oh n HP will want to have a drive past so he can take photos, I'm guessing about 3pm
