that should be no probs to a landrover man, you must a good selection of hammers! I had to "help" a inner bearing off the stub on my new trailer, just a gentle tap and a touch of emery paper n all was well again

Ronnies Caernarfon[slipway] - Boatlaunch

Those that do intend to arrive on the Friday please get in contact with Chris at Ty Calch with your eta so that he will know how many to expect and your time of arrival.

Please make sure all boats are sea worthy and that you carry all the recommended safety equipment. Each and everyone are responsible for their own safety and passage planning. Its up to each skippers decision to go or not. Check that your insurance covers you for this trip.
Last year i think everything ran well with Pikey Dave being lead boat and setting a sensible pace that suited everyone so it makes sense to me if he agrees to do the same again. In the event of fog we will obviously slow down and group closer together, remember this is a cruise not a race, no one gets left behind we all stick together.

Can you please confirm ASAP how many people there are on each rib so that we can inform the coast guard of our numbers?

Signed up so far,

Saturday morning high tide Caernarfon Bar is 9.30 so if everyone can meet at Ty Calch around 9ish with a planned departure time of around 10.am. Last year we made the crossing in around 3 hours 20 mins so if all goes to plan we should arrive at Dun Laoghaire around 1.30.

Dun Laoghaire Marina, Sailing Ireland, Ireland Marina - Welcome

Hopefully this year we will rendezvous with willk, Dan and tony mac at Kish bank. We will use channel 8 as our working channel. I have booked the fleet into the marina they have promised to do their best to try and get us nearer the shore but will let me know nearer the time. Last year i think the charge was €3.60/m for the night

South Dublin Hotels, Dun Laoghaire Hotel, Hotels in Dun Laoghaire, Kingston Hotel Dun Laoghaire

The hotel is the Kingston Hotel Dun Laoghaire, tel; 0035312801810 the rate is €79.00 per night for a standard twin/double room, €59.00 for a standard single room. Anyone wanting a sea view room it will cost €20.00 extra subject to availability, please book before June 10th we have a cancellation policy of 72 hours prior to arrival so let’s hope the weather forecast is looking good for that weekend

Pub, Gastropub & Live Venue - The Purty Kitchen - Monkstown, Dublin, Ireland

Saturday night we have a meal booked at the Purty Kitchen for 8.30pm this gives everyone plenty of time to relax and do their own thing, it might be best if we arrange to meet in the hotel bar around 7 for a few drinks before we depart for the evening meal. This will be 3 courses and include tea/coffee the price for the meal will be €30 per person. I have booked a table for up to 30 people anyone else wishing to join us please let me know ASAP.
.
We have arranged the following set menu that hopefully should appeal to everyone’s tastes

Its a possibility that we try and do the River Liffey cruise when we meet up with willks gang at kish bank, id sooner cruise up river maybe find a watering hole then head to the marina later in the afternoon to get finger printed
No point in booking into the marina then heading out again later in the afternoon once you lot taste the Guinness theres no moving you,

That said - up to that point you get most of the highlights of the tour, up through the port, past the entry to the Grand Canal, and up into the city centre.

Really looking forward to this part of the weekend

Try and find a tie up near Temple Bar and you'll never go back down the river, mind you they'll be plenty of the 'dark stuff' to float you
