Yep. But I should warn you that it's tradition for the newbie to do this for any accompanying 'nobbers boats too!

Just wanted to ask the advice of the regulars - I take it there is nothing fixed to moor upto - so just a case of dropping anchor and keep pushing boat out into deeper water / pulling it in? Any local hazards to be aware of?
|
the biggest hazard is on the way in, just watch out for the marker post
no, nothing to tie up to unless you borrow a mooring like we did, but pick the weather window, although it's not too far from Caernarfon if you get it wrong there's no shelter to be had, but when you get it right it's a great trip

no probs John, that's what it's all about, I'm sure we'll be out again soon, I spotted some big sea caves to explore on the way back, but need a calm day for that

Engine's too small I tink. There's two nice boats in my price range that have engine's slightly too small. One of which is here and here.
Besides, I already have a project of sorts for the winter: an overhaul of Clam Chowder's engine.
Nice thought though chaps. Keep 'em coming.

Looks as though you had a great day. Makes me sick with envy having been out on Saturday.
Saturday night stayed in Llandudno at a c*** hotel where the lobby was full of scooters and breakfast was chaos could not get out of there quick enough.
Not enough time to go out as we had to pick Loz up from a scout camp! I just knew it was going to be a good day when we walked the prom at 8.00 in the morning.
Pleased you enjoyed yourselves!
Nick

Yep, shame I missed this one as I was watching Dan test drive every rib at Southampton Boat Show
Anyway we were at Ty Coch this time last week and the sea was flat calm and the sun was shining.
Feeling a bit depressed now as I won't be out this weekend either
P.S. Excellent write up Chris
P.P.S. Does anybody recognise the beach

Of course! This very much a joint venture. She was the one looking through Hypalon swatches with the Ribquest guys!
That Redbay is v much our thing but not enough engine. By Redbay's own admission the top end is 32 knots.
