Below is a list of places to eat that Willk has sorted for us.

We will need to book asap once we have the weather sussed, remember it’s a Saturday night so most places will be busy.
Pikey Dave has suggested Chinese or Indian, I,m thinking that way we can all throw some money into a kitty and it will be easier to sort the bill
Any input will be appreciated.
Myself i,m a Steak and Guinness man but i,m happy to go with the majority

Centre of town ( < 5 mins walk from marina )
Bits & Pizza’s – Patrick Street (Pizza Restaurant | Pizza delivery | Takeaway Pizza | Online Pizza ordering | Patrick Street | Dun Laoghaire | Co Dublin | Ireland – good food, small and reasonable )
Harry’s Cafe bar – Upper Georges St. (Harry's Cafe Bar | Dun Laoghaire | Open daytime and Nightime – good mix of food )
40 Foot Bar and grill (The Forty Foot – posh pub grub with a nightclub upstairs! )
Alexis ( Alexis Restaurant 2 doors up from Bits & pizza’s )

In town but 5-10 minute walk
Toscana – Windsor Tce. (Italian) – (Toscana - Dun Laoghaire - Dublin make sure you choose Dun Laoghaire )
Yung’s (Chinese) (http://www.menupages.ie/dublin/south...rant/Menu.aspx ) Good food, sit in restaurant offers early bird deals etc.

I know I'm the new boy on this, and as such happy to go with the flow. However if you're looking for input then 40 Foot Bar and grill (The Forty Foot – posh pub grub with a nightclub upstairs! ) sounds the go to me.

but i am tacking some ID we dont need passports but the port authority said some ID may be useful

Yes. I always carry photo ID when visiting the UK by independent means. Generally I take my passport, on the grounds that if I meet a "difficult" Ossifer of the Lew, it will be more "useful".

Best of luck with the trip lads, we are based in Dun Laoghaire but unfortunately the Volvo is finishing in galway this weekend so all of our boats are the other side of the country.
I hope everyone has fun and the weather cooperates.

Aaron hope you all have a great time pity we will be unable to meet up. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the weather, if we do have to cancel
