We're all set, and the plan looks great.

Out of preferance would prefer the Liffey trip on Saturday rather than Sunday!

40 Foot bar is great for us.

Can't do the following weekend if called off, but can do the 21/22 July.

Id suggest we take a hand fuel pump to move fuel between tanks of boats. If someone is towed they will prob need to pass some of their fuel to the row boat due to the increased mpg.

Looking good TT!

I thought it might help others, and equally it would be good to be advised if there is anything obvious I have missed, so the following is my equipment list on board for the trip.

  • 225 ltrs fuel (limited spare)
  • Oil, plus spare
  • 2 x batteries
  • Chart plotter
  • Paper chart
  • Licenses (VHF, radio etc)
  • Copy of boat insurance policy
  • SSR registration
  • Copy of purchase invoice showing VAT paid
  • 2 x VHF, 1x fixed, 1 x mobile
  • Life jackets for all on board
  • 2 x flare packs, Coastal and Inshore
  • Torch
  • Knife
  • Emergency blankets
  • 2 x first aid kits
  • Fire extinguisher
  • 2 x anchors
  • 1 x sea anchor
  • 2 x mooring lines
  • 3 x spare lines
  • Spare kill cord
  • Hand bearing compass
  • Hand plotter
  • Dividers
  • Snacks and drinking water
  • Limited tool kit and socket set
  • Appropriate clothing for four seasons in one day

Is there anything missing?

Always a spare prop and associated parts! If going a long way.

Yes

We'll be taking copies on arrival, so if there's anything missing afterwards, other than beer, we'll know where to look

I have received this reply today from the 40foot bar&grill
"Hi Tony,

That is no problem at all, we fully understand that this is weather permitting. Would you like to go for the A La Carte menu or the set menu on Saturday the 7th of July?"

So if its okay with everyone i,m thinking the A La Carte that gives some of you fussy buggers a little more choice
