Send picture of her in a missus Santa outfit.

Then we can make a democratic decision.

I am sure there will be a raft of 'better halves' and kids there .

Trip profile - boat to the folly (in company of other boats if its arranged right) , say hi , order food drink , talk about any subject you could think of (even RIBS ! ), relax, realise you've eaten too much but have been in good company and now have to boat back again, jump back on boat after a couple of hours for a generally slower (ish) run home .

This is looking to be quite an event, does anyone know how many people are going?

Has anyone heard from from Mark the organiser?

Hi Mark - As per my text can you put me down for one please?
I'll be on my own so spare seats should be available from SDS if anyone needs one.

Christmas Jolly to The Folly - The Update

Apologies in the delay in posting an update.

I got a call from the good people at the Folly a week or so ago asking for 3 things - numbers attending, menu choices and a £5 per head deposit to confirm the booking. As I was out last Sunday on Paradiddle, I specifically went across to The Folly and I have now paid a £50 deposit, initially for the 10 people that I know to be definitely going (from Pathfinders) so as to sure-up the booking which in principal we have agreed with The Folly is for 2 long tables, in the main bar area for approximately 30 people. The booking is under the name of Mark/Pathfinders/Ribnet. It is therefore definitely on.

In view of the deposit request by the venue, I think it now makes sense for those that are planning on coming to make their own deposit payment and confirmation directly to The Folly on 01983 297171. However, given that I have already started running a spreadsheet of menu choices, I think it would make sense for me to continue with this. To this end, for those planning on attending, can you please PM me to confirm that you are attending and have paid a deposit, together with your menu choice(s). * Please PM me as it is far easier than trawling the Thread * I will continue to collate the information until just after the weekend at which point I will email the food choices over to them to assist them in their catering preparations.

Sorry for the long winded post and look forward to seeing you on the 4th.

Mark

Have just phoned to confirm bookings for Mrs A and me and understand that we are now up to 30 confirmed places.

Our food orders will follow by PM to Mark this evening (Mrs A is currently having difficulties choosing!)

I offered a deposit but was told (by a man) that it wasn't necessary.
