no better time than with the people you will have for company, if you get a chance ask andre how he felt when we went round britian 10 years ago, i know i was a bit worried some of the time, but looking back it if we hadn't have done it we would never know how to handle what nature throws at you

Biff , I am so pleased and thrilled that I did that trip and not forgetting we went all the way round as it should be and you stood all the way by the A frame. Them Zodiac seats were terrible no backrests at all not to mention any grab handles ect. I sometimes wonder how I managed to stay in the seat.

If anyone feels like working up more of an appetite some of us will be heading out early for a blast up to the needles So will probably be heading out of Hythe at 8.00 and 9.00am. High tide in Southampton water is at 8.00am
|
Chris, I say an hour earlier would be better cos we have to be back to Southampton Dry Stack well before 4PM as they will not recover the rib in the dark
meet at 11 get to the Folly Inn say midday a 2 hour lunch and a nice blast back

OK Andre, that will probably suit any other "Dry Stackers" so I will cover it on the next update.

If someone could please check the tides for Portmouth Harbour, that'll be great! All the online tables only give 7 days worth of info.

I have kindly been offered a seat on Avocets boat as I am high and dry at the moment. So on this basis I will attend ( assuming its not still blowing 35 knts + ! )
Is the Folly aware of our impending visit - just thinking numbers and not giving the chef a heart attack when we all pitch up!

It's not the food but the beer! The Folly does adequate on both, but could do better on either.
I suspect that the Jolly will be lumpy but I'll lay 100:1 that Willk won't be there! He'll be coming from wherever and I (and Blackroady and crew) will be there, beer in hand (yes, southern 'flat' beer in hand - Blackroady excepted!) regardless.
