Check your DryStack's operating!! (if applicable)

We're still hoping to go - but at the moment Saxon Wharf Drystack is not operating as the diesel in the forklift has frozen and gone waxy - and the one at Bembridge is not operating as the yard is too icy to run the lift safely!

We'll know later today if Saxon Wharf should be running by tomorrow morning, but it may be worth others checking they can get their boats launched before they travel!
Assuming all goes well, we're aiming to be at Bramble Bank about 12.00, and will call on Channel 72 to see who else is around.
Hopefully see you all tomorrow!
Trev

Hmm - that sounds like a bit of excuse to me ..... modern diesel has anti waxing agents added - its 'only' been down to -6' ish ...... and its above freezing out there now....

I'm just hoping the engine starts on the boat - off to check in a bit .

Hopefully see you tomorrow Trev...

Hi, I would still like to go but unfortunately I don't have a seat. If anyone has a spare seat then please let me know, I'll be traveling down form Swindon so I don't mind where you are going from. Thanks

90% of the snows gone now, 100% if the areas been salted. Temp up to +8 some areas of Hampshire.
Fired mine up and went for a little run nice and flat, not too chilly at speed.

Should be a nice run out tomorrow.

Just back from SDS. It is still very icy under foot, as is Saxon & Shamrock Quay. If we get alot of rain over night, they should all be ok for tomorrow.

I am travelling with Mrs 250, plus son & girlfriend (and dog). As it is a sizable group, we are going to use the Fast jet to cowes and then taxi round to the Folly.

See you all there

Steve

Drystack is up and running - boat has been booked to be put in at 10.30 so assuming we get there late and faf about a bit we're all set to rendezvous at 12.00 at Bramble Bank.
NB - we're in a 6m courtesy Rib from Bembridge Outboards so don't have GPS or fixed VHF. We'll aim for roughly where I think Bramble Bank is and use the handheld to home in on anyone else around!

Hi Tim

Please come along, we have had a few fall out, so pleanty of space at the inn.

Strangely I rang the Folly to confirm for tomorrow and it would seem someone else representing RibNet had changed the time for the tables to 1200. Have warned them it will be 1230.
We should be there a little early due to the fast cat timetable

Steve

Thanks Mark
We should all be on the water at about the same time. Mark 241 may well be launching from SDS at the same time as well.
I've PM'd you my mobile so we can be in touch nearer the time.
