Christmas jolly to the Folly - Sunday 5 December 2010

I propose Sunday 5th December. For no particular reason other than it is a Sunday, when most people can get away from work and it is not to near Christmas as the diary gets full with all the other tasks that need doing/visiting!

If I remember correctly, a rendevue at the Brambles Bank worked well for most people. How about 1200 at the Bank, 1230 at the Folly?

Open to other times /dates, just thought I would get the ball rolling ....
Steve

Red clothing, hats and good cheer compulsory

I'm in ...

I'm up for this . Maybe the ones who were up for something in November will be up for this ?

Will have a spare seat or 2 from Poole so anyone welcome. I owe David a trip to the folly for sure...if Grimalkin is still 'away'.

Hi, I’m up for this if anyone has a spare seat and I’ll pay towards fuel etc.

Last year was great fun.

If this comes off, I should have at least a few seats up for grabs from Southampton.

I'm up for it as long as weather isn't too crappy. Don't mind the cold but if the waves are big it's just a pain getting back to Poole. I do enjoy waves but not battling against them for more than an hour.

RIBase
We're up for it if there's a couple of spare seats-my trailer isn't going to get fixed this side of Christmas.

We should be up for this as well - we should also have room available so if Steve gets "booked up" we're only 50 yds down river so could co-ordinate lifts at late notice.

jolly to the folly.

I'm also up for this if someone has a spare seat.My rib won't be ready until next spring!
I'd be most grateful for a lift. Can lend a hand in return with fuel costs, crewing, launching, packing up etc.

Grimalkin safely delivered to Yeovil yesterday with an expected two week turn around. That is, however, dependent on Garmin being able to fix the back-light on the GPS and return it to Ribcraft within that time.

If the timescale is achieved, I'll be going in Grimalkin - the only difficulty is that on 5 Dec I won't be able to get back into the marina until 4.30 pm by which time it'll have been dark for over half an hour. I should be able to make it back in daylight and can always go for a drink on Poole Quay whilst waiting! Failing that, it will be another night passage.

If Grimalkin is not back in time, I'll be very happy to take up Pete's kind offer of a seat on Nestor. I'll ask Mrs A tonight whether she wants to come as well and will let you know asap.

David

Will probably have at least 8 seats available from Southampton.

Good point about booking, we would need a quick head count and if someone is familiar with landlord, would they be prepared to do the booking, otherwise I can do it.
