Cornwall or Weymouth for hols?

Planning on camping/ribbing hols this year, had great time at Mullion last year with rib,and loved day at Falmouth, any good launch/parking sites around there? Also looking for campsite(with club on it,or pub near-by!!) Next choice which we fancy, but no experience of area, is Weymouth, Poole, but all sites mentioned in "boat launch" look expensive, and problems parking trailer etc, also any camp sites to recommend, are looking at Sandford, Weststar holiday park, greatfull for any advice, holiday planned last week of july,
Cheers, Charlie.........

Weymouth has an awesome free slip - it is really great and there are pontoons at the side so you don't even need to get wet. It is a very pretty place and the trip down to the sea from the slip is great.

Having been brought up in Falmouth and lived in Weymouth for a while, I suppose I'm reasonably well qualified to spout forth on this one. It's a close call, Weymouth has a lot of good boating and beaches. Around the Bill is an exciting day out even in summer and heading East with Lulworth etc is beautiful. However, Oggyland does shade it. Basing yourself in Falmouth opens up miles of cruising East or West. There are several marinas where the boat can be left in for the week and plenty of accommodation. Feel free to pm me should you decide to head this way.The SW Crew chuck some pretty good beach barbies.

RIBase
We spent May day weekend last year in Beacon Hill touring park just outside Poole. 10 mins to Baiter slipway if you can stand it-and a pub/club there too. Atmosphere was pretty good but at night it was a bit full of screaming pubescent chavs drinking 20/20 and lambrini though.

Holiday sorted!

Thanks to all who replied to the Cornwall/Weymouth choice as hol destination, hard choice, but Weymouth wins, not been before,so new places to explore, and a lot nearer in road miles(more cash for rib fuel!)
And the the chance of pulling a Chavette just totally swung it,although the Chavettes I can remember, you had to push, rather than pull!! (Younger members wont get that one, was an awful vehicle made by Vauxhall!)
Coming down 2nd week in July, so perhaps catch some of you locals while we are there? Thanks again for advice,
Cheers, Charlie.........

Yeah, I'll put some info together in a pm. How old is the teenager? We have a 15yo. Cancel that. Just read that you're Weymouth bound. Have a great time. We are a seriously long tow for most of you guys, which can be a blessing .
