Hi Kevin & Kathryn!!!

Well...

Slimtim wants to do a trip on Friday...there's stuff to see on Saturday and Brambles & others will be out Sunday.

However if the weather's sloppy we can go to Cowes and catch up over a few jars what's the name of the hotel you booked for us all on Town Quay during RIBex?...that's a good spot to laze about...

Us

Will call later...

Some weather info as requested by the Jackeens (very very nice people).

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?world=0339

not terribly accurate as it changes at the drop of a hat, but sat looks favourable at the mo.

As it stands I will hopefully be able to get out with the Jackeens on the Sat for the round the isle race and will be around in Cowes on Friday afternoon when I would love to be able to have a nose around the pits (Cookee, thanks for your kind offer, will almost definately take you up on it! [i'll take some pics of you working in the pits and generally looking very racey and professional!]).

Cheers

Tim

Cookee, where is the "chute" ? Is this just outside cowes?

Hope to see some of you out there!

Many Thanks

Graeme
Yes the "chute" is just outside Cowes - for those that have been before beware the start is from West to East this year but we are still going anti clockwise round the Island!

The 48 hour Solent inshore forecast is here - http://www.metcheck.com/48HourInshore.asp?lat=50&lon=0

Look forward to seeing lots of people there!

If you want polos, fleeces, burgees or stickers let me know so I know what to bring!

I'm going over to Cowes tomorra. Based on the current weather forecast, I'll just be mooching around in the town friday. If anyone is around, gimme a shout, I'll be sure to keep the fridge full of cold beer.
Cheers

Hey Matt, how come you didn't advertise beer over on the other side? Were you afraid of the huge quantities you would need to buy?

Maybe I could persuade Richard to throw a sickie after all - he's up for most things if there's beer involved!!!

You're a fine one to talk! You don't happen to travel by train between Basingstoke and London do you?

Madmat,

I'll be about in Cowes Friday afternoon from about 12:30. I work in Cowes and finish at 12. Let me know me if you want to meet up, I would certainly like to empty your fridge !

Louise, its because beer is cheaper than sea water over here, thats why my posts are sometimes incomprehensible...hhmmm, I wish!

I popped into the Marina last night after work. There are a few powerboats about. One HUGE Sony sponsored jobby and a few RIBs.

Cheers

Tim

We will be on our way later today. We have an "In house" photographer for the weekend and if anyone is in a position to take him out on the water could they possibly give me a call? It would be very much appreciated and much beer would be bought in return - thankyou! (07836 268747)

ps might have a bed free for the duration as well if anyone needs one!

Cookee,

Can't help with the boat I'm afraid, but what time are you around this afternoon? I might be coming into cowes at about 4:30 to have a browse.

I'm hopefully out with the Jackeens on Sat so will take some pics for you if you can't get your man out on the water !

Tim

PS Jackeens, you have PM!
