yep very wet, started to rain when we left the house, stopped as we pulled the boat out of the water.
The typhoon wow, low and slow, on with the afterburners you could feel the roar in the air, awesome, and my god some of those manurers defied physics, the high alpha pass was steep indeed!
The low cloud mean the Arrows did the low level routine I love it, so low can sea them much better, and seeing them approach head on with the lights on was epic.
Picnic on the boat while we waited
Dont think we could have anchored much closer to the fireworks without lighting them, again spectacular. was worth the wetness .The sea was actually warmer than the air, stuck my legs over the side to warm up!
Trip home was event full, plod telling me to stay to starboard, harbour master saying more to port, fastjet leaving, ferry arriving. 2 big (40-50 ft) trawler type cruisers with no nav lights in the middle of the solent , some muppet blasting past me at 30 knots with 15 feet, some one kindly parking there boat right in the middle of the slip whilst they de rig.
but we all came home with huge smiles
