Dartmouth/Torbay Sunday Aug 8th
It looks like we well be having a get together on Sun Aug 8th probably at the Res-nova in the River Dart. 12pm (ish).
If anyone is interested please let me know so I can check on numbers etc.
So far, some are coming from Torquay/ Paington and Brixham and others may already be in Dartmouth.
Open to Ribs and non-ribs etc. Anyone on Ribnet.

A group from Torbay can all go around together in a "cruise in company".
If the weather is anything like last Wednesday night I don't think I will bother!!!

Count us in, 1 boat 2 people, as long as the swell at berry head is ok on the day we will come round to the river.
We launch from Paignton slip so will join up with anyone from the bay, guess we would launch around 10ish.
Appart from the fact it's a rib meet how will we all know each other ?
I would give a boat name but we don't have one
Tue.
Have to check with the first mate but if you should not have a boat ready let me know and you can have a lift with us.

Count me in two adults and two children,
I'll launch from Teignmouth at approx 9:30 (saves the drive ) and meet those in the bay at 10:00.......
Should we nominate a vhf channel in order to find each other......??????

Here is the resnova's web site:

Just to give you an idea of what it's like.
How's channel 77? Perhaps the easiest to remember!

Yes,friends are ok with this, current thinking is to launch at Brixham on the saturday, and pootle round to the dart marina as some friends have agreed to provide transport back to the car,so we should be there in good time on sunday, only show stopper would be inclement weather I guess.I am assuming the barge will be fairly obvious!

Unfortunately we have now sold Topaz - so all we have is a 2.85Sti Yam with a 4HP Outboard. However, if weather allows, we would still like to join you all by launching in the Dartmouth area somewhere - any suggestions please?
By the way - is it Saturday or Sunday?

Hi all,
I'm still quite interested in this, either coming down by sea the night before or maybe towing to Devon, (in the slow lane) All depends on weather as usual.
David, if I launch at Brixham, is there any secure long term, (couple of days) parking anywhere there? Or can you suggest another location?
Mike C

Hi all,
I have not heard back from resnova yet but as there are not going to be hundred there shoul not be a problem.
Mike, Parking in the marina car park is best with the rib on the marina. If the marina is full raft up against me for the night.

Hi,
We may see some of you on the water on Sunday. We will be taking the boat back from Salcombe to the berth in Poole on Sunday morning. If you see us - grey Scorpion with Honda outboard - give us a wave
In fact thinking about it we may call into Dartmouth for fuel & if my memory serves me right the fuel berth is close to resnova. If you see us please chuck a couple of cans of Stella down on to the deck. A little livener should settle the stomach for the journey home
Cheers & have a good day.

I'm interested to know will you cross Lyme Bay from Berry head straight to Pool or follow the coast round?
Is it all dependant on conditions at the time or fuel stops?

Hi Ribraff & TQ & thanks for your replies.
We have experienced engine problems today which may scupper our plans
We would normally take the direct route accross Lyme Bay, but this weekend it could be on the back of a borrowed trailer with all the holiday traffic. Nightmare
