Some 70 people had a buffet in the Gigha Hotel - whilst it did not have the same atmosphere as Ardbeg - the craic was good and "tea" was served

After lunch it was back to actions with a roller coaster ride back to Rathlin for more "tea" before the final run down to HQ. I later had a transit down to Carrickfergus with a setting sun and a dusk entry into Belfast Lough which was magic.

Here is a great video put together by my XO's boyfriend Ned - thanks from all the Redbay crews - I hope this keeps you going Kerny

Looks like a great run out Joe
These youngsters are getting some great vids up as well

OK Kerny - and everyone else - here are some pics of the run.
I would have called it "salty" - The spray was caught by the wind and blown right at us.
It had to be washed off with "tea".

A great day and like everyone else I thank all at HQ for the great preparation and hosting. As usual it was faultless.

Excellent .. the soundtrack you've got, features a style of drumming like 'jungle' very hard to do, but sounds excellent in this context some great shots of the boats there

As you can see a great day out. No pics of the salty stuff - too busy holding on! The race at Rathin was in full flight and boy was that a confused piece of sea! The rest ranged from lumpy to slightly less lumpy but none of it was boring and all was enjoyable.

The day was finished off with a bit of excitement when we got back into HQ and the shout came in that one of the boats had engine trouble. Corryvecken was quickly launched again- so fast it was nearly unbelievable - and Tom, Conor, Willk and myself set off towards Cushendun.

The casualty was soon found and we got the Sligo crew under tow and flew back to Cushendall. The boys on the casualty (which had a slight fuel problem) were really jealous when Tom handed up Willk and I a steaming cup of coffee as we stood on the aft deck watching the tow.

All in all a really great days boating.

Many many thanks to everyone who was there - you all made it great.

A favourite of mine. We met the band on Rathlin last year and I've been a fan since.

Aye - every now and then, life throws you a bone. That night Skerryvore dedicated their version of "Home to Donegal" to donegaldan.

For a brief few minutes on Rathlin, we were the men!
