Day trip to Gigha

Redbay Boats will be holding it's annual customer cruise to the beautiful island of Gigha on the 6th of September. All Redbay customers are invited to come along and enjoy a fun day of RIB cruising.

Redbay

As most know this annual Redbay blast across the "shuck" is traditionally to Ardbeg on Islay but the distillery is hosting a wedding on this day hence the change.

C U there

What a shame, were up here this week, lots of redbays up here including ours.

Went to gigha on Sunday as part of a five boat cruise, coffee and cake in the cafe, gentle walk to the achamore gardens and then a cruise back, well worth a visit.

Unfortunately we go back home on Monday, really envious would have been great, weathers looking better too

Have a great day

Picture, one day when I grow up I want to be a stormforce 11.

There's a fairly rickity finger pontoon that extends into Ardminish? bay at the hotel/Restaurant. Trimmed up IIRC!

Anyone on here going? Portnahaven I guess - Ribochet too?

Imagine a wedding in a Distillery - that wouldn't end well over here - LOL. I wonder do they do second honeymoons too?

That's a double shame as new faces are especially welcome

Yep - but the Boss was saying that they are starting work on new pontoons to accommodate WAFI's

We were able to drop our folks off onto the slip, however it was only about 3ft deep, we left the bigger boats on a mooring rafted together and I ferried the folks in and out. If someone has a little tender it would be much better.

Isn't there a skinny little pier there? I seem to remember Redbay HQ being quite gung-ho about it and insisting that there's all tides access to it.

I bottled out when I went there and took a mooring. Driving a couple of hundred grand of someone else's boat tends to focus the mind a bit!

Nothing wrong with your memory Boss. If you check the Redbay Mottos List, a few lines below "When you must go to sea" you'll find "Ah sure, it's only a boat"

That's the pontoon Willk's talking about.

Little pontoon

Here's a picture of the pontoon, just be careful of the depth

Getting really envious now, seeing all the stormforce models would have been great.

Models? Hey Ribochet, you never mentioned Models! Leona's nose is gonna be well out of joint. I bet that was Conor's idea...

I think I'm gonna go. I may need a lift...

The rickety shinny thing is the old passenger ferry pier. It's ok if you have a bungee roped anchor and tie up yo it so as you are kept of the pier.
Have a good day remember the owner if the boathouse is a ribnetter.

But of course there will be a bevy of beauties with big hard sponsons, powerful vibrating pulsating engines, twin rotating props with big cups etc

No show without Punch

Unfortunately with my new layout I have only standing room only

Since the Beast has departed why not get your other "Boss" to lend you Caledonian - with your track record Tom would be well pleased if you managed to flog it
