Did something different yesterday!
Put the boat in at Windsor for a potter & a picnic!
Sun shone great day, you do get a few looks from the normal river traffic, or is this me just being paranoid!
Photo taken by the wife she was trying to get Windsor castle in it! You can just make it out above the A frame!
Nick

I think I understand why you're getting some looks from the other traffic, Nick
By the way, that's a hell of a big flagpole on Windsor castle, although obviously HRH wasn't at home because the royal ensign doesn't appear to be flying!

Doug yes it is good fun makes a different day out, we have done London which is a great day but you are stuck on the bout all day!
Well with gouge kids not much chance for them to have a run about.
You are supposed to get a license from the environment agency you can get a day licence

If I remember correctly, you can hire little motorboats and rowing boats near the spot were that photo was taken.
I also remember them being extremely over-priced, something like £25 per hour for a dingy with 4hp engine in it....
Lovely spot though!

From Teddington to Wandsworth there is an 8 knot speed limit. It's only below Wandsworth Bridge that there's no limit.

Great minds think a like..
I put Bumblebee in at Walton on Saturday and went for a trip to Staines. Didn't half get some funny looks and the lock keepers kept asking my how fast the boat went.
3) Saw my old river boat on the way up, 20' Norman with a 9.9Yam. Slightly more suited to river use.
