Durdle door rib and sib rally

A few of us will be heading over to Durdle door on the 1st may,
I'm guessing some boats will be leaving from the solent, baiter and of course portland
I have done this trip on two occasions organised through ribnet where I've met some amazing people
One of those persons was Mike bennet who sadly passed away whilst playing football, for this reason I'm holding it for the chd unit of the Birmingham childrens hospital who take in kids from all over the u.k for pioneering surgery
This is a multi group event and open to all, it will also be a cracking way of meeting new friends
I don't really do forums but I will try and keep the thread updated, it would be great if anyone on the previous cruises could join us

I think the tides are good so Just got to hope that the weather turns up

I've got a few photos and a dodgy YouTube vid I'll upload when I get time

Hi guys, sorry I don't post much

There are a good few boats lined up with some familiar faces

Launch tbc at wpnsa or Ferrybridge at a discounted rate of £15 mention team scooby

Some folks are camping pebblebank others are booked into portland house

The cruise though I do like the definition rally is in memory of member xs400 who sadly passed away a couple of years ago, we had a fine time that day

Be great to see some faces there, all subject to weather and a launch brief on or around the day itself

Me and Sue definately up for this trip. We were on the trip with Mike and his son (sorry forget his name) couple of years back. Mike was a very nice guy, he made sure the smaller boats were safe on the trip and was just a really friendly guy. Hope the weather is good. Be great to get some GoPro footage this time.
Will there be "meet up" times posted? Most launched from Castletown slip when we went last time with the bigger ribs launching at the WPNSA. We will be launching in Portland (WPNSA) meet up where ever.

Fantastic Pete! I think we only have one sib along this time
We're aiming to be afloat from castletown, Ferrybridge and wpnsa for 10 o'clock
Allowing two hours to cross to Lulworth Cove taking in the sights along the way

Other boats are leaving from Poole if anyone wants to meet up with these chaps lemme know

Vhf channel 8, im in gnasher, I'll ping across my mobile number later

Hi Pete, was only thinking about you the other day wondering if you are still boating, be good to see you both again, think last time we met we either had our honwave sib or a valiant rib, just bought a ribtec 585 2 weeksago, do you still keep yours at wpnsa ?

Hi guys.
Yes still at the Wpnsa. We had our Aerotec 380/15hp on the last trip.
Have had an Avon Searider 5.4 with Honda 90 vtec for a couple of years now. Very happy with it. Really good facilities and easy launching any tide at the sailing academy, they are pretty easy going, I can leave the rib on a mooring overnight if I want to use it for more than a day. Saves having to recover every time.
Your 585 sounds good, look forward to seeing it.
