Oh, I see him too. Don't you worry P., I've warned the Boss what he got up to with that poor 950 coming back from Gigha last month. Not that I had to - he was doing loops around Corryvreckan - lèse-majesté or what!

Humber for that particular monkey next time over!

Based on the stats of previous years I'm thinking of not ordering a T-shirt this year!

He has a Humber of his own, but thanks anyway.

I'm gonna get him an orange T-shirt with a big "H" on it...

Can someone explain the accomdation arrangements on Easdale is it camping or B&B or what. from What I have read over the years it seems to be camping in a car park in which you need a pile driver to set the pegs

There is very limited* B&B accomodation. There are some self catering cottages and there is a camping - which as you say has a rather solid base.

* limited as in numbers not the standard of facility.

As poly says it's rather solid ground just bring a good solid hammer. Get in quick for b&b is the answer. If camping bring air bed.

Now hold on there! Lets take a careful look at that particular photo.
WHO is piloting? (I drove but someone else did the flying bit)

A newly fledged test monkey I may well be but I sure as hell ain't that stupid to do loops around Corryvreckan!!! (Well ... not with Tom on board anyway )

There is nothing wrong with my dear little Humber. All geared up I was - plus crew - two years ago - weather was horrendous and a certain monkey slipped out under cover of torrential rain in a beast of a machine without telling anyone!!!!!

I've just reminded HQ of the way you treated THAT poor boat!

I think its about time we started to talk nicely to Tom in preparation .........

Website has full info on launching and accommodation. There has not been any change to accommodation providers locally

See Easdale RIB Rendezvous - Home

You can also browse the local website Eilean Eisdeal - the Easdale Island Community Development Group

Yeah, it is a car park, but not a tarmac-ed one!

Trick with the pegs - if at first it don't go in, move it 1/4" in any direction and it probably will. Joking aside I've never needed a 12Lb mallet to get the tent up - - just be aware there are some big stones in the makeup of the ground and work round them - you will be pitched in no time......

...but don't whatever you do forget the airbed. I only did it once on a "standard" karrimat! - never again!

I've pitched tents in all sorts and I've NEVER seen worse! I reckon it's tarmaced OK, but the grass grew over it. That or it's pure slate c/w grass cover.

I was glad I'd brocht me four big Iceland Trip corner pegs made outta 10mm square bar. Damn shame I had no airbed - niver again!

Depends on age and ability rib wise. Also RN wx will have an effect on what happens. Saying that there have been some kids on previously. Your sleeping arrangements would have to be correct.

Thanks Tony for arranging another ERR. Judi and I will be there for a week again, but without 'Seacat' (boat now in Skye). We'll bring 'Hornet' and ask Mike and Julia H if they want to join us. The more the merrier eh!
