Notice the pier and the walkway going down the side of it?
Just to the left of it you can see a very faint track going to the shore, that's it.
The field in the bottom of the picture is the campsite.

Thanks for that Alan, i take it it's a wader job then? does the car need to get dunked to get the boat off? iv'e only ever launched this rib off a slip so far, but iv'e got chest waders anyway.
Iv'e got my trailer in bit's at the moment, new suspension units, brakes and rust treatment!!!
Hi Mick, if it's as bad as that i might end up sleeping in the car, !!!!.

I happened to have my drysuit on when we launched and recovered last year so I didn't take much notice. There will be plenty of folk about to lent a hand if you need it. I used the missus rav4 and I remember I didn't go as far as the alloys. Itl be tide dependant though.

Launching at Easdale, Camping at easdale
For those unfamiliar with easdale and the beach
Don't forget Seafari has a trailer extension bar that fits between the car and the trailer to allow you to get deeper into the water to launch.
For those requiring a full slip
Launch at Cuan just a mile by sea away. Whilst this is the ferry slip to the Isle of Luing, a number of the ferrymen come along to ERR and kindly agre to help anyone launch there, park up the trailers but you have to have 2 persons, one to drive the boat the Easdale, the other to bring the car back
Camping at Easdale is at Highland Arts with toilet facilities at the top of the Ellenabeich Pier. There is a good atmosphere within the 'camping brigade' at ERR. Plenty of space just contact Highland Arts beforehand.

Easter update
Easdale RIB Rendezvous UPDATE
Currently there are 34 RIBs registered but we still await the ‘locals’ despite our picture posting of Facebook. Our estimate once again is 40 plus boats. The weather will influence the local contingent.
All looking good at Easdale, The seas have calmed down butbthere is still a chill out on the water. It’s floatation suits with vests and fleeces under here at Seafari.
INFO updates
VHF Radio communication
You may have noted that Seafari Ticket Office no longer listens to Channel 77. We have our own private channel with our own dedicated frequency. On the water our boats just listen to 16 and our own channel so whilst the event will still use CH 77 between boats the only way to contact the ticket office is via telephone 01852 300003.
Food Friday and Saturday
There will not be a general gathering this year. Please book your own meals in either The Puffer on Easdale Island or The Oyster Bar Ellenabeich. Conscious of the fact that some may want grab and go type food the Puffer has also agreed to have a BBQ outside and you can buy burgers etc on a pay as you eat basis. Could we ask that as the event is of great financial benefit to the area you consider sharing your ‘food and beer’ money between establishments.
Easdale Island Harbour
We are grateful that Eilean Eisdeal, the local community trust who own the harbour never charge fees for the use of the harbour during RIB Rendezvous weekend. They have agreed the same this year however ERR are suggesting we organise a whip around .
There has always been a wish by the local community to improve berthing facilities in the harbour by providing pontoons. As the community owns the harbour, funding from people like Crown estates is not forthcoming. The community has to do things themselves.
Eilean Eisdeal has acquired some old pontoons, transported them here to Easdale but they are in need of some refurbishment. The community will undertake the work but we also need funds for connecting pins, shackles and chains to anchor the pontoons to the groundchains we have on the seabed.
Everyone is looking forwards to the event
Tony

Hi all.
Not been on for a while - life & work getting in the way of a good time....
Also not been out in the rib for a while, so due to my somehow manging to persuade my good lady to take the kids to see the outlaws I am going to make an attempt on a "make sure it still works" cruise this Saturday.
Venue still TBD, but if anyone is out on the Forth, Clyde or Lomond PM me if you are looking for some smokey company....
Tony -
I think I registered waaaaay back. If not I plan to be there, details as last year!
My high level plan at the moment is to be in the "car park camping brigade", possibly launching at Puffin or Dunstaffnage (for the showers!). If the weather is yuk I may just tow to Easdale & launch there as it will eliminate potentially a lot of wet gear
Anyone wanting a lift back to the Highland main line I could probably get you back in time for the London Sleeper or the last Aberdeen bound train. Again, PM me.

I'm hoping to attend again with Baby Blue (4.7m Searider).
Unless I get an offer of a nice warm bed I'll be camping again behind the Highland Arts Centre!

I thought I had replied a week ago but looks like the mobile Internet failed again. ...
Having thought I had replied 2 posts after the "lift back to Glasgow " I'm not heading that way but I will be leaving late Saturday evening after the food and could get someone back to the Highland main line in time for a vaguely useful train.
High level plan at the moment is if half decent launch Puffin or dunstaffnage then motor round and pitch the tent. If wet tow to Seil and scrounge use of the launch bar. (Theory being I can keep the tent contents dry with the car to hand.... )

Easdale's new to us pontoons
They are actually ex mussel farm walkways
You have to make a start somewhere to justify expense
We have managed to get hold of around 25metres.
The bits we are missing is riser chain of circa 19mm
Shackles of 7/8" x 1" to link riser to 34mm ground chain
