Jeff, we are also coming (in a Diddy wee boat). it's unlikely I will aim for oransay, especially with the family on board, unless there is totally amazing weather. However we will be doing some shorter more local stuff. I think we are up Fri to Tues, also in Balvicar.

poly we are up Thursday to following Friday hope to see you, it might not be doable in the SIB unless its like it was for round jura flat calm in any case there's lots to sail around i like the run under the bridge and round or up and back if its rough.
there's a boat yard in balvicar with a slip might be worth launching from there very sheltered.
cheers

Hi Billy I remember getting about half way along Jura coming back there was a small bay with a bit of a pier I stopped in the bay got the rod out woke up 20 mins later the only noise was the water licking the hull fantastic no better place when it's like that.

Numbers Update
Carolyn has informed me that registrations for this year's event currently stands at 45. There is plenty of room in the harbour whether you are heading to Easdale for the event or staying for the week.
The community has submitted the plans for the island's boat shed to the council.
We are also on the case for a further set of pontoons
We are looking forwards to the event, certainly the air temperature has improved this last week.
Tony

That sounds like a money back guarantee if the weather is bad!

In case anyone's still looking for accommodation, as of yesterday Tigh an Truish near the Atlantic Bridge still had a twin room available.
(As Pam's joining me again this year I wasn't allowed to "do camping", so we did a trawl of the local B&B's and have booked the one next door to Tigh an Truish as it had a double available).

well.... maybe....
It's in the paint shop at the moment - but should be back for Easter - then I've just a little bit of work to do on it before the ERR.
Even if it is ready (ish) - based on past years' weather, for some reason Pam insisted on somewhere with heating and a hot shower!
