Eastbourne Air Show - 13-16 August

Hi are there any who have visited this air show and viewed afloat?

Friends who attend most years say the direct line of flight is buoyed in the sea and boats just need to keep clear of this area and probably get the best view.

The line up sound impressive with possibly one of the occasional flights of the Vulcan - flight list is;

Daily Flying Schedule

Can anyone recommend a good slip close and ideally a camp site?

Thanks

Just down the road, we go but not on the boat, more than 5 mins bobbing in one place and Tom Dick sets in...

No slips nearby, we launch from beach. Nearest slip East is Rye, West is Newhaven. Sovereign Harbour (Eastbourne) is lift in/out only.

Thanks Max. I had a quick look at Newhaven and the Simpson slip appears to be locked at 17.30 which I'm likely to after that time.

I can't see if Sovereign does a lift service but will ask tomorrow.

Cheers

Rye is ok 2.5 hrs or so outside HT. Or you could motor over from Brighton way.
