Just been over to Yarmouth from lymington..... I can confirm its bloody freezing!!!!
Going to the beaulieu river tomorrow, then if it warms up at all, maybe attempt a lap of the IOW on Saturday!
Defrosting on Sunday!

Will wave if I can unfreeze my fingers of the wheel.

I'm defo up for a curry on Sat eve...if anyone ( Alex , Chris etc ) wants to call me when they know a time or are on way somewhere.

AJ - are you about or is it too cold/far/ for Mrs J ? You're welcome at my non-luxury 3 bed semi - it does have good central heating however.

Saw your RIB and car this morning in the car park at Lymnington. Would have said Hi but you were obviously with the harbourmaster paying your dues

Did think then you were borderline mad to brave the wind chill today

Nice RIB

If any of you are out Friday around Hayling Island, looking for something to watch, the Round The Island Windsurfing Race is happening. Start time is expected to be 12.00 at HISC in Chichester harbour with the windsurfers probably (Rotation to be confirmed tomorrow morning) circumnavigating Hayling Island in an anti clockwise direction, so heading North towards Emsworth before heading West towards Langstone, under the road bridge and out through Langstone harbour, before crossing Hayling Bay and heading back into Chichester harbour, finishing back at HISC. Usually about 250 windsurfers take part, I imagine the entries will be lower this year in these temperartures. I will be providing some of the Safety cover with my RIB and really hope the temperatures increase as it will be a long 4 hours or so trundling about with not much to do (hopefully). It is interesting watching them get under the bridge at Langstone near high tide, as the sails are too tall to clear.
There will also be a Stand Up Paddle board race and outrigger canoes doing a shorter race to Emsworth and back.

Then it'll just be a polish of the hull and re-upholstery and it'll be a
