Mylor
I'm going to be down at Mylor the week before that. 1st June to 10th so if anyone sees a Yellow twin engine XS 70 (Viper) say hi.
I'll be using Mylor throughout the summer so asked the question about fuel prices.
How does £1.91 sound!?!
Guess it's jerry cans or run up the road to the Shell. She'll be on the trailer so for the saving it'll be worth the run even if it is a pain in the a**e having to waste the time driving through the lanes for gas.
Hope to see some of you down there.
Cheers

I'll try to get 'Hey Joe' in sometime that week to shake off the the winterisation.
If you're down for the week, you'd might aswell bite the bullet and pay the 'on the water' price. Anything else is pure hassle.

Mylor
That's what I thought at first but then I did the sums. At an extra £80 per fill it makes the eyes water a bit

Planning on doing a few miles then? If the sun is out, nip over to St Mawes, chuck the hook, use the Place Ferry as a water taxi (a loud whistle or a wave of the arms should get his attention), park yourself on the terrace of the Idle Rocks and rack up a bar bill rather than a fuel bill.
Now that's boating.

That sounds like a plan.
Will be doing a bit of diving too so hopefully weather will be fine and I can turn the engines off and still stay on station that saves a bit.
The flip side of that will be trying to stop son doing too much wakeboarding

Is this still happening, or is the weather too dodgy?

So maybe, do you know anyone local with a weather tree

UK Outlook for Saturday 16 Jun 2012 to Monday 25 Jun 2012:
The weekend will see rather unsettled weather across the United Kingdom. Strong winds and rain will affect many areas on Saturday, followed by locally heavy showers on Sunday. The weather will remain unsettled into next week with a mixture of bright spells and showers, some of which may be heavy and thundery, and perhaps even some more persistent rain at times. There are some indications that southern and eastern parts of the UK will become generally drier and brighter towards the end of next week, although occasional spells of rain or showers remain possible. Northern and western parts will probably stay unsettled though with a greater chance of seeing periods of rain. Temperatures will probably be a little below average at first, but should recover to close to average later.

From Met Office for South West area.
What do you guys think?

Why is it always like this? Shall we, shant we forecasts.
Right now I'd say 50:50, the blow, as I see it, is forecast to come through Thurs/Fri, but it's West to NW which is good, the swell should disperse fairly quickly all over the N. Atlantic rather than hang around in the Channel. We could get a long swell from the NW when breaking Lands End.
It's not gonna be glassy, but a bit of sun and a lively sea adds to the fun.
Let's give it another 24/48 hrs and have a vote. Incidently, how many boats are on for this trip?
Not many, I'd imagine, given the current forecast!!

Sorry guys, it's a 'no go'.
25mph ESE on Fri will create big seas for our end of the Channel, swinging NW on Sat and strengthening.
Shame, my 17yo lad and his pals were all on for it.
Cornishavon, if you'd like to try again in July, give me a shout.

We did vow on the last cloud covered, big sea, spine wrenching visit not to go again unless it was bloody SUNNY!
