Fireworks Thames Cruise

Here's an idea for those who mght be interested:

Saturday 5th November

Lunch and afternoon cruise on the Tidal Thames...short rest and then night cruise to see all the firework displays throught London.

Suggest that boats start and finish at Putney, I can arrange secure overnight moorings on the river in Putney area.

Possible Itinerary...

Launch Putney or other slipways for those coming from the East, meet for lunch at suitable venue on the Thames, afternoon cruise.... then all return to Putney where boats left afloat on safe moorings...rest and freshen up in local B&B's...

then back onto the Thames at 7.00 pm ish to catch all the firework displays from Tower Bridge through Central London. There are massive displays at Batteresea Park, Hurligham Park and many other places. Plus all of London lit up at night is a great experiece.

After Fireworks, back to Putney moorings..warm up in a good pub, then recover boats Sunday morning to go home.

No special requirements need, just usual nav lights etc.

Any one interested?....I'm doing it any way as last year and it's lots of fun and very different.

I'm planning on launching mid afternoon with 3 possibly 4 other ribs, heading down to Canary Wharf for some food and drink then heading back up to Battersea in time for the fireworks.

People are welcome to join us or do the Timw plan.

We are still planning for an afternoon on the water and the evening to watch the Battersea Display.

We are going to launch from Putney at 1300 on Saturday and head down through town to Canary Wharf for a late lunch.

We will be back at Putney for 1930 to pick up some friends for the evening do then bob down to Battersea Reach for 2000 when the fireworks begin.

If anybody wants feel free to join us / say hello. We'll be in a 6m Searider a 6m Ribtec and a 5.4 Searider.

Hi - I live just down the road in Clapham, but won't be able to bring the boat up to london to join you unfortunately.

Have always thought about the possibility of launching from Putney for a cruise on the thames - never really worked out what to do with the trailer whilst out though - were do you guys put them?

Dead easy...leave the trailer along with all the others outside the boathouses.

Plenty of space for them, and the wardens leave them alone.
